We understand first-hand how important it is to step away. When life feels overwhelming, having the opportunity to pause to be surrounded by calm and to spend precious time together, or even quiet time alone, can make all the difference. Our aim is to give families that space.

 A place where healing can gently begin, where memories can be honoured, and where no one has to face their journey alone. Moonacre is a private property, lovingly opened to families through our charity with dedication and passion. It is a beautiful, peaceful retreat set within nature a place away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Here, you can truly switch off, surrounded by stunning scenery, pure tranquillity, and beautiful walks. You may even find yourself getting up close to our resident friendly deer herds and peacocks, along with other beautiful wildlife that call Moonacre home.

There is the opportunity to sit around the log fire, watching the twinkle of the night stars, breathing in the stillness, and simply being. With many attractions close by which you may or may not wish to explore everything you need to know will be included in your welcome pack on arrival. 

During your stay, we also offer families the opportunity to plant a tree in memory of their loved one, along with a personalised plaque created especially in their honour a lasting tribute that will grow and flourish for years to come.
